Maybe people don't go into 0.0 because they don't like PvP? PvP is not for everyone. I wouldn't mind PvP myself it it wasn't quite so whammo-blam-dead. Knowing that if I get into combat I will die with 99.99% certainty is not much of an incentive...

I really think the current warp/warp scramble solution is a little messed up. If you can't scramble someone, they can generally get away really easily. If a person gets scrambled, they're as good as dead. There's no inbetween, which is kinda boring.

Most of the time I just set my autopilot to the destination. It saves me the trouble of manually operating a jumpgate as you described. It would be nice if this functionality was added to give another way of accomplishing the same task.
